The wives of the Prophet ﷺ sent Fatimah, daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She mentioned the story at length, in which it was said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, "My dear daughter, do you not love what I love?"She replied, "Of course."He said, "Then love this one."
أرسل أزواج النبي ﷺ فاطمة بنت رسول الله ﷺ إلى رسول الله ﷺ… فذكرت القصة بطولها، وفيها: فقال لها رسول الله ﷺ: أي بنية ألست تحبين ما أحب؟ فقالت: بلى، قال: فأحبي هذه.
Muslim narrated it in "The Virtues of the Companions" (2442), through several routes, from Yaqub bin Ibrahim bin Saad, who said, my father told me, from Salih, from Ibn Shihab, Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman bin Harith bin Hisham told me, that Ayesha said, and then he mentioned it.
