Ayesha reported,

Khadijah took him to Waraqah bin Nawfal bin Asad bin Abd al-Uzza, her cousin, who had become a Christian during the pre-Islamic era. He used to write in Hebrew script and would copy from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah willed him to write. He was an elderly man who had gone blind.Khadijah said to him, "Cousin, listen to what your nephew has to say."Waraqah said, "Nephew, what have you seen?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told him what he had witnessed.Waraqah said to him, "This is the same Namus that Allah sent down to Moses. I wish I were young enough, I wish I would still be alive when your people drive you out."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Will they really drive me out?"He replied, "Yes. No man has ever brought anything like what you have brought without being met with hostility. If I live to see your day, I will support you with all my might."Not long after, Waraqah died, and the revelation paused.
