Tabarani related it in Al-Kabir (14/247) and in Al-Awsat (5723) through multiple routes from Nuaym bin Yaqub and Yahya bin Talha Yarbui, who both said, Fudayl bin Iyad narrated to us, from Hisham bin Hassan, from Muhammad bin Sirin, from Ibn Umar, who said, and then he related the account.Nuaym bin Yaqub is the nephew of Sufyan bin Uyayna's sister. Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Al-Thiqat, while Aqeeli said, "He is not corroborated in his hadith." However, he is corroborated in this hadith, being corroborated by Yahya bin Talha Yarbui, about whom Ibn Hajar said, "Weak in hadith."Haythami said in Al-Majma (9/388), "Tabarani related it through two routes, and the men of one of them are the men of the sahih, apart from Nuaym bin Yaqub, who is trustworthy, and he related it in Al-Awsat through a route with a hasan chain."In a similar meaning, from Wazi bin Zaria, who said, I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, along with Ashaj, that is, Mundhir bin Amir, or Aidh bin Mundhir, and with them was a man afflicted (with madness). They made their way to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and when they saw the Prophet ﷺ, they jumped down from their mounts and kissed his hand. Then Ashaj dismounted, hobbled his mount, brought out his saddlebag and opened it, took out two white garments from his clothes and put them on, then went to their mounts and hobbled them, then came to the Prophet ﷺ.The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "O Ashaj, you have two traits that Allah and His Messenger love, forbearance and deliberateness."He said, "O Messenger of Allah, did I acquire these traits myself, or did Allah create me with them?"He said, "Rather, Allah created you with them."He said, "Praise be to Allah, who created me with two traits that Allah and His Messenger love."Wazi then said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have an uncle of mine who is afflicted, so pray to Allah for him."He said, "Where is he? Bring him to me."He said, so I did just as Ashaj had done, dressing him in his two garments, and brought him to him. He took hold of his cloak and lifted it until we saw the whiteness of his armpit, then he struck his back and said, "Come out, enemy of Allah."The man turned his face away, looking with the look of a sound man.Ahmad related it (49/39) from Abu Saeed, freedman of Banu Hashim, who said, Matar bin Abdul-Rahman narrated to us, saying, I heard Hind bint Wazi say that she heard Wazi say, and then he related the account.As for Hind bint Wazi, she was known by the kunya Umm Aban. No one narrated from her except Matar bin Abdul-Rahman, and I have found no criticism or endorsement of the two of them. Dhahabi mentioned her among the unknown narrators, saying, "Only Matar Anaq narrated from her." Al-Mizan (11004). As for Ibn Hajar, he said, "Acceptable," meaning when corroborated, and I have found no corroborator for her.Moreover, there is disagreement over her narration. At one time it is related from her, from her father Wazi, as here, and at another time it is related from her, from her grandfather Zari, as with Abu Dawud (5225), and at another time it is related from her, from her father, from her grandfather, as with Tabarani in Al-Kabir (5/317).
