The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever wishes to recite the Quran fresh as it was revealed, let him recite it according to the recitation of Ibn Umm Abd."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من أحب أن يقرأ القرآن غضا كما أنزل فليقرأه على قراءة ابن أم عبد.
Bazzar (1404) and Tabarani in Al-Awsat (3350) both narrated it through Abdul-Aziz bin Abdullah Uwaysi, who said, Muhammad bin Jafar bin Abu Kathir told us, Ismail bin Sakhr Ayli told us, Abu Ubayda bin Muhammad bin Ammar bin Yasir told us, from his father, from his grandfather Ammar, who said, and then he related it. Bukhari was asked about this hadith and said, "It is a hasan hadith, Abdul-Aziz Uwaysi narrated it to us." Ilal al-Kabir (2/882-883).A similar meaning was narrated from Amr bin Harith bin Mustaliq, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever wishes to recite the Quran fresh as it was revealed, let him recite it according to the recitation of Ibn Umm Abd."Ahmad (18457) narrated it from Waki, who said, Isa bin Dinar told us, from his father, from his patron Amr bin Harith bin Mustaliq, and then he related it. Isa's father, Dinar, is the Kufan whom no one deemed reliable except Ibn Hibban, and this is why Hafiz said of him, "acceptable," meaning when his narration is corroborated, otherwise his hadith is weak in transmission, and I have not found any corroboration for him.
