A silk garment was gifted to the Prophet ﷺ. His companions began to feel it, marveling at its softness. He said, "Are you amazed at how soft this is? The handkerchiefs of Saad bin Muaz are better than this, or softer."
أهديت للنبي ﷺ حلة حرير، فجعل أصحابه يمسحونها ويعجبون من لينها، فقال: أتعجبون من لين هذه؟ لمناديل سعد بن معاذ خير منها أو ألين.
Bukhari narrated it in "Merits of the Ansar" (3802), and Muslim in "Merits of the Companions" (2468), both from Muhammad bin Bashshar, who reported from Ghundar, who reported from Shubah, from Abu Ishaq, who said, I heard Bara say such and such. This is the wording of Bukhari, and the wording of Muslim is similar.
