The Prophet ﷺ said, "No one with even an atom's weight of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise."A man said, "But a man likes his clothes to be fine and his sandals to be fine."He replied, "Allah is beautiful and loves beauty. Arrogance is rejecting the truth and looking down on people."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: لا يدخل الجنة من كان في قلبه مثقال ذرة من كبر قال رجل: إن الرجل يحب أن يكون ثوبه حسنا، ونعله حسنة قال: إن الله جميل يحب الجمال؛ الكبر بطر الحق، وغمط الناس.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Faith (91) through several routes from Shuba, from Abu Aban bin Taghlib, from Fudayl Fuqaymi, from Ibrahim Nakhai, from Alqama, from Ibn Masud, and he related it.
