I heard Anas say, Haritha was struck down at the battle of Badr while still a young boy. His mother came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, you know the place Haritha held in my heart. If he is in Paradise, I will bear it patiently and seek my reward from Allah, but if it is otherwise, you will see what I do."He replied, "Woe to you, have you lost your senses? Is it just one Paradise? There are many gardens, and he is in the highest garden of Firdaws."
Bukhari narrated it in the book of Maghazi (3982), from Abdullah bin Muhammad, who said, Muawiya bin Amr told us, who said, Abu Ishaq (that is, Ibrahim bin Muhammad Fazari) told us, from Humayd (that is, Humayd Tawil), from Anas, who narrated it as mentioned above. His saying, "Haritha was killed on the day of Badr," refers to Haritha bin Suraqa bin Harith bin Adi Ansari. His father, Suraqa, was a companion and was martyred on the day of Hunayn. His mother was Rubayyi bint Nadr, the paternal aunt of Anas bin Malik.
