Anas bin Malik reported,

The Prophet ﷺ proposed on behalf of Julaybib to a woman from the Ansar, asking her father for her hand. The father said, "Let me consult her mother."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Very well, then."The man went to his wife and told her about it. She said, "No, by Allah, never! Could the Messenger of Allah ﷺ find no one but Julaybib, when we have refused her to so-and-so and so-and-so?"The girl was in her chamber listening. The man set off intending to inform the Prophet ﷺ of this, when the girl said, "Do you want to reject the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ decision? If he has approved this match for you, then marry me to him."It was as though her words removed the doubt from her parents, and they said, "You have spoken the truth."So her father went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "If you have approved of him, then we approve of him as well."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed I have approved of him." So he married her to Julaybib.Then the people of Medina were alarmed by an attack, and Julaybib rode out. They found that he had been killed, with a number of slain polytheists around him whom he had struck down.Anas said, "I saw her, and she was among the most generously provided-for widows in Medina."

عن أنس قال

خطب النبي ﷺ على جليبيب امرأة من الأنصار إلى أبيها، فقال: حتى أستأمر أمها. فقال النبي ﷺ: فنعم إذا قال: فانطلق الرجل إلى امرأته، فذكر ذلك لها، فقالت: لا ها الله إذا، أما وجد رسول الله ﷺ إلا جليبيبا، وقد منعناها من فلان وفلان، قال: والجارية في سترها تستمع، قال: فانطلق الرجل يريد أن يخبر النبي ﷺ بذلك، فقالت الجارية: أتريدون أن تردوا على رسول الله ﷺ أمره؟ إن كان قد رضيه لكم فأنكحوه، قال: فكأنها جلت عن أبويها، وقالا: صدقت. فذهب أبوها إلى النبي ﷺ، فقال: إن كنت قد رضيته فقد رضيناه. قال: فإني قد رضيته فزوجها. ثم فزع أهل المدينة، فركب جليبيب، فوجدوه قد قتل وحوله ناس من المشركين قد قتلهم. قال أنس: فلقد رأيتها وإنها لمن أنفق ثيب في المدينة.
