The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has commanded me to recite the Quran to you."He then recited, "Those who disbelieved from among the People of the Book..." [Bayyinah 98:1].Within it he recited, "If the son of Adam were given a valley full of wealth, he would ask for a second. If he were given a second, he would ask for a third. Nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust, and Allah turns in mercy to whoever turns to Him in repentance. Indeed, the religion accepted by Allah is the upright faith, not polytheism, nor Judaism, nor Christianity. Whoever does good, his good will not go unrewarded."
Tirmidhi (3898) and Ahmad (21202) narrated it, and Hakim (2/224 and 531) graded it sahih, all of them through the route of Shubah, from Asim, who said, "I heard Zirr bin Hubaysh narrating from Ubayy bin Kaab," who said, then he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Asim bin Bahdala, for he is hasan al-hadith. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith." And Hakim said, "Its chain is sahih."
