Anas bin Malik reported,

The tribes of Rial, Zakwan, Usayya, and Banu Lihyan came to the Prophet ﷺ claiming that they had embraced Islam, and they asked him for support against their people. The Prophet ﷺ sent with them seventy men from the Ansar.Anas said, "We used to call them the Reciters. They would gather firewood by day and pray by night."They set out with them until they reached the well of Maunah, where they betrayed them and killed them. So the Prophet ﷺ performed the qunut for a month, supplicating against Rial, Zakwan, and Banu Lihyan.Qatada said, "Anas told us that they had recited a passage of Quran concerning them, 'Convey to our people on our behalf that we have met our Lord, and He is pleased with us and has pleased us.' This was later abrogated."
