Ahmad (948) and Bazzar (719) both narrated it, from the hadith of Israil, from Abu Ishaq, from Haritha bin Mudarrib, from Ali, who said, then he related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Abu Dawud (2665) also narrated it through the route of Israil, but he did not mention the point of the citation in it. Bayhaqi narrated it in Dalail (3/49) from another route, from Shubah, from Abu Ishaq, in abbreviated form.As for what has been narrated from Abdullah bin Amr, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out on the day of Badr with three hundred and fifteen men, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, they are barefoot, so carry them. O Allah, they are naked, so clothe them. O Allah, they are hungry, so feed them," and so Allah granted him victory on the day of Badr, and they returned, and when they returned there was not a man among them who came back without a camel or two camels, and they were clothed, and they were fed, this is daif.Abu Dawud (2747) narrated it, as did Ibn Saad in Tabaqat (20/2), Hakim in Mustadrak (2/133, 132), and Bayhaqi in Kubra (6/305), all of them through routes from Abdullah bin Wahb, from Huyayy, that is, the son of Abdullah Maafiri, from Abu Abdul-Rahman Hubli, from Abdullah bin Amr, who said, then he related it. Huyayy bin Abdullah Maafiri is disputed, and the majority hold him to be daif.
