The Prophet ﷺ was in his shelter on the day of Badr, saying, "I hold You to Your covenant and Your promise. Allah, if You wish, You will not be worshipped after this day ever again."Abu Bakr took him by the hand and said, "That is enough, Messenger of Allah. You have pressed your Lord insistently."He was wearing his coat of mail, and he came out reciting, "The host shall be routed and they shall turn their backs. Rather, the Hour is their appointed time, and the Hour is more calamitous and more bitter" [Qamar 54:45–46].
