Abu Musa Ashari reported,

Abu Musa reported, "I was with the Prophet ﷺ when he was staying at al-Jiranah, between Mecca and Medina, and Bilal was with him. A bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'Will you not fulfill what you promised me?'The Prophet ﷺ said to him, 'Receive glad tidings.'The bedouin replied, 'You have said to me 'receive glad tidings' too often.'So the Prophet ﷺ turned to Abu Musa and Bilal looking as though he were displeased and said, 'He has rejected the glad tidings, so accept them yourselves.'They said, 'We accept them.'Then he called for a vessel of water, washed his hands and face in it, and spat into it. Then he said, 'Drink from it, pour some over your faces and chests, and receive glad tidings.'They took the vessel and did as he said. Then Umm Salama called from behind the curtain, 'Leave some for your mother.' So they left a portion of it for her."
