A man reported that he saw the Prophet ﷺ embracing Hasan and Husayn, saying, "O Allah, I love them, so love them."
أن رجلا أخبره أنه رأى النبي ﷺ يضم إليه حسنا وحسينا يقول: اللهم إني أحبهما فأحبهما.
Ahmad narrated it (23133) from Sulayman bin Dawud (that is, Hashimi), who said, "Ismail, meaning Ibn Jafar, narrated to us, Muhammad, meaning Ibn Abu Harmalah, informed me, from Ataa (that is, Ibn Yasar), who said," and he related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.Haythami said in Majma (9/179), "Ahmad narrated it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih."The fact that the companion in the hadith is unnamed does not weaken it, because all the companions were of upright character.
