The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the prayer is called, do not come to it running. Come walking, with calmness upon you. Whatever you catch, pray it, and whatever you miss, complete it."
حدثنا حجاج قال حدثنا ليث قال حدثني عقيل عن ابن شهاب أنه قال أخبرني أبو سلمة بن عبد الرحمن بن عوف أنه
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا أقيمت الصلاة فلا تأتوها تسعون وأتوها تمشون وعليكم السكينة فما أدركتم فصلوا وما فاتكم فأتموا
Its isnad is sahih, and it was previously mentioned at 6269. It was also narrated by Bukhari 2/9, Muslim 1/420 no. 602, Tirmidhi 2/149 no. 327, and Ibn Majah 1/255 no. 775.
