The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade shighar marriage. Shighar is when a man says, "Marry me your daughter and I will marry you my daughter," or, "Marry me your sister and I will marry you my sister."He also forbade sales involving uncertainty and the pebble sale.
حدثنا ابن نمير قال حدثنا عبيد الله عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن الشغار قال والشغار أن يقول الرجل زوجني ابنتك وأزوجك ابنتي أو زوجني أختك وأزوجك أختي قال ونهى عن بيع الغرر وعن الحصاة
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Dawud narrated it, 2/227, no. 2074, in the Book of Marriage, on Shighar, from Ibn Umar. Tirmidhi narrated it, 1/442, no. 1123, in the Book of Marriage, on what has been mentioned regarding the prohibition of shighar marriage, from Imran, and said, hasan sahih. Nasai narrated it, 6/112, no. 3338, and Ibn Majah, 1/606, no. 1883, from Ibn Umar.
