The Messenger of Allah ﷺ announced to us the death of the Negus on the very day he died. He went out to the prayer ground, his companions formed rows behind him, and he said four takbirs over him.
حدثنا يحيى عن مالك قال حدثني الزهري عن سعيد بن المسيب
نعى لنا رسول الله ﷺ النجاشي اليوم الذي مات فيه فخرج إلى المصلى فصف أصحابه خلفه فكبر عليه أربعا
