Tariq bin Shihab reported,

I saw Ali on the pulpit delivering a sermon, wearing a sword whose fittings were of iron. I heard him say, "By Allah, we have no book to recite to you except the Book of Allah, the Exalted, and this document which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave me, in which are the obligations of charity."He was referring to a document attached to his sword.

عن طارق بن شهاب قال

رأيت عليا رضي الله عنه على المنبر يخطب وعليه سيف حليته حديد فسمعته يقول والله ما عندنا كتاب نقرؤه عليكم إلا كتاب الله تعالى وهذه الصحيفة أعطانيها رسول الله ﷺ فيها فرائض الصدقة قال لصحيفة معلقة في سيفه
