The Prophet ﷺ said, "There are three to whom Allah will not look on the Day of Resurrection: the lying ruler, the elderly adulterer, and the arrogant worker."

Its isnad is sahih. Muslim narrated it, 1/102, no. 106, in the Book of Iman, in the chapter on the severity of the prohibition against trailing the garment. Nasai narrated it, 5/86, no. 2575, in the Book of Zakat, in the chapter on the arrogant poor person. Bayhaqi narrated it, 8/160, in the chapter on fighting rebellious people, in the section on the sin of treachery against both the righteous and the wicked.
