The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will not come until knowledge is taken away, ignorance prevails, and harj becomes widespread."Someone asked, "What is harj?"He replied, "Killing."
حدثنا يحيى عن ابن عجلان قال سمعت أبي يحدث
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تقوم الساعة حتى يقبض العلم ويظهر الجهل ويكثر الهرج قيل وما الهرج قال القتل
Its isnad is sahih. It has already appeared as no. 7480, and Bukhari related it in 2/41, in the book of Witr, chapter on what has been said about earthquakes.
