The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A funeral procession should not be followed with fire or with raised voices."
حدثنا إسماعيل عن هشام الدستوائي عن يحيى عن رجل
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تتبع الجنازة بنار ولا صوت
Its isnad is daif due to the anonymity of the narrator from Abu Hurairah, but the hadith is sahih. It was narrated by Abu Dawud, 3/203, no. 3171, in the chapter on Funerals, on fire being carried behind the deceased, and by Ibn Abu Shayba, 3/272, both from Abu Saeed.
