The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman was punished because of a cat she had tied up, neither feeding it nor releasing it to eat from the creatures of the earth."
حدثنا أبو معاوية قال حدثنا هشام بن عروة عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ عذبت امرأة في هرة ربطتها فلم تطعمها ولم ترسلها فتأكل من حشرات الأرض
