A freed slave-woman belonging to Saeed bin Qays, who was a married woman and had committed adultery, was brought to Ali. He had her flogged a hundred lashes, then stoned her, and said, "I flogged her by the Book of Allah and stoned her by the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
حدثنا هشيم وأبو إبراهيم المعقب عن هشيم أنبأنا حصين
أتي علي بمولاة لسعيد بن قيس محصنة قد فجرت قال فضربها مائة ثم رجمها ثم قال جلدتها بكتاب الله ورجمتها بسنة رسول الله ﷺ

Its isnad is doubly sahih, see the one before it. Abdullah bin Ahmad narrated it from his father and from Abu Ibrahim al-Muaqqib, both of them from Hushaym, as is apparent.Abu Ibrahim al-Muaqqib, the Hafiz did not mention him among the kunyas or the titles in al-Taqib, but he did give his biography in al-Alam. He is Ismail bin Muhammad bin Jameela, Abu Ibrahim al-Muaqqib al-Sarraj al-Baghdadi. He mentioned him quoting from al-Husayni, then followed that with a comment of no real substance, as if he doubted the correctness of the name and the biographical entry, since he did not find him in the books he mentioned, among them Tarikh Bukhari. This is a mistake on his part, for the man is well known. Ibn Jawzi mentioned him among the teachers of Ahmad, and Khatib gave him a good biographical entry in Tarikh Baghdad, 6:265-266, and Imam Ahmad praised him.He said in what comes later, 11683, "Abu Ibrahim al-Muaqqib Ismail bin Muhammad narrated to us, and he was one of the righteous people."And in what comes later also, 12499, a hadith which Imam Ahmad narrated from him, then his son Abdullah said after it, "Abu Ibrahim al-Muaqqib narrated to us, and he was among the best of people."Then Qatiei said, "Abu Abdul-Rahman held him in very high esteem." And Abu Abdul-Rahman is Abdullah bin Ahmad.
