The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will not come until wealth becomes abundant and overflows, to the point that a man will go out with the zakat of his wealth and find no one to accept it from him, and until the land of the Arabs returns to being meadows and rivers, and until al-harj becomes widespread."They asked, "What is al-harj, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "Killing, killing."
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد قال حدثنا يعقوب عن سهيل عن أبيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لا تقوم الساعة حتى يكثر المال ويفيض حتى يخرج الرجل بزكاة ماله فلا يجد أحدا يقبلها منه وحتى تعود أرض العرب مروجا وأنهارا وحتى يكثر الهرج قالوا وما الهرج يا رسول الله قال القتل القتل
Its isnad is sahih, it was mentioned previously in 8120. Bukhari also narrated it in 2/135, in the chapter on the obligation of zakat, on giving charity before it is refused, and Muslim narrated it in 2/701, number 157, in the book of zakat, on encouraging charity, and in 4/2215, number 157m, in the book of tribulations, in the chapter on when two Muslims face each other with their swords.
