The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not make vows, for a vow does not advance anything of what is destined. It is only a means of extracting something from the miser."
وبهذا الإسناد قال قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تنذروا فإن النذر لا يقدم من القدر شيئا وإنما يستخرج به من البخيل
