The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The servant says, 'My wealth, my wealth,' yet of his wealth only three things truly belong to him. What he eats and consumes, what he wears and wears out, or what he gives in charity and thereby preserves. Whatever is beyond that is passing away, and he leaves it behind for others."

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال يقول العبد مالي وإن ما له من ماله ثلاث ما أكل فأفنى أو لبس فأبلى أو أعطى فأقنى ما سوى ذلك ذاهب وتاركه للناس
