We were with Umar bin Khattab on the road to Mecca when a strong wind began to blow. He asked those around him about the wind, but they gave him no answer. Word reached me of what he had asked, so I urged my mount forward until I caught up with him.I said, "Commander of the Believers, I heard that you asked about the wind. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The wind is from the mercy of Allah. Do not curse it. Ask Allah for its good and seek refuge in Him from its evil.'"
