The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Exchange gifts, for gifts remove ill feelings from the heart."
حدثنا خلف قال حدثنا أبو معشر عن سعيد
قال رسول الله ﷺ تهادوا فإن الهدية تذهب وغر الصدر
Its isnad is hasan. It was already mentioned that Haythami graded the hadith of Abu Mashar as hasan, and Ibn Abdul-Barr also graded it hasan. It appears in Tirmidhi, 4/441, no. 2130, in the chapters on al-Wala and al-Hibah, in what was mentioned about the Prophet urging gift-giving, and he said, "Gharib, and Abu Mashar has been criticized regarding his memory." It also appears in Malik, no. 908.His saying "ghirr al-sadr" means envy and rancor.
