The Prophet ﷺ said, "A servant entered Paradise because of a thorny branch lying on the path of the Muslims, which he removed from it."
حدثنا خلف بن الوليد قال حدثنا ابن عياش يعني إسماعيل عن سهيل بن أبي صالح عن أبيه
عن النبي ﷺ قال دخل عبد الجنة بغصن شوك على ظهر طريق المسلمين فأماطه عنه
Its isnad is sahih. Ibn Hibban narrated it with this wording (253, no. 729, Mawarid), and Bukhari narrated something close to it in wording (5/118, no. 2472, Fath, in the Book of Wrongs, chapter on removing a branch or whatever harms people), as did Muslim (4/2021, no. 1914, Righteousness, chapter on the merit of removing harm), and Tirmidhi (4/341, no. 1958, in Righteousness, on removing harm), who said, hasan sahih.
