The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Jews and Christians do not dye their hair, so differ from them."
حدثنا علي بن إسحاق أخبرنا عبد الله أخبرنا يونس عن الزهري أخبرني أبو سلمة بن عبد الرحمن أن
قال رسول الله ﷺ إن اليهود والنصارى لا يصبغون فخالفوهم
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari related it, 4/207, in "The Prophets," "What was mentioned about Banu Israil," and Muslim, 3/1663, no. 2103, in "Clothing," "Differing from the Jews in dyeing," and Abu Dawud, 4/85, no. 4203, in "Grooming," "Dyeing," and Nasai, 8/185, in "Adornment," "The command to dye," and Ibn Majah, 2/1196, no. 3621.
