The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not turn your houses into graveyards. Satan flees from the house in which Surah al-Baqarah is recited."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا وهيب حدثنا سهيل عن أبيه
عن النبي ﷺ قال لا تجعلوا بيوتكم مقابر فإن الشيطان يفر من البيت الذي تقرأ فيه البقرة
Its isnad is sahih. It was mentioned previously at 7708. Muslim narrated it in 1/539, no. 780, in the book of the prayer of travelers, on the desirability of praying the optional prayer at home. Abu Dawud narrated it in 2/218, no. 2042, in the book of rites, on visiting graves. Tirmidhi narrated it in 5/156, no. 2877, and graded it hasan. Ibn Abu Shayba narrated it in 2/256, in the book of prayer, on the command to pray in homes.
