The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You must listen and obey, in your hardship and your ease, in what you find pleasing and what you find distasteful, and even when others are given preference over you."Qutayba said only "obedience" and did not mention "listening."

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال عليك السمع والطاعة في عسرك ويسرك ومنشطك ومكرهك وأثرة عليك وقال قتيبة الطاعة ولم يقل السمع
