Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This month of yours has cast its shadow over you. By the One the Messenger of Allah swears by, no month has ever passed over the believers that was better for them than this one, and no month has ever passed over the hypocrites that was worse for them than this one. Indeed, Allah records its reward and its voluntary blessings before it even arrives, and He records its burden and its misery before it even arrives. That is because the believer prepares for it by setting aside provisions to gain strength for worship, while the hypocrite prepares to exploit people's heedlessness and to seek out their faults. So it is a prize for the believer, which the wicked one plunders."

حدثنا إبراهيم حدثنا ابن مبارك عن كثير بن زيد حدثني عمرو بن تميم عن أبيه أنه

سمع أبا هريرة يقول

قال رسول الله ﷺ أظلكم شهركم هذا لمحلوف رسول الله ما مر بالمؤمنين شهر خير لهم منه ولا بالمنافقين شهر شر لهم منه إن الله عز وجل ليكتب أجره ونوافله من قبل أن يدخله ويكتب إصره وشقاءه من قبل أن يدخله وذلك أن المؤمن يعد فيه القوة للعبادة من النفقة ويعد المنافق اتباع غفلة الناس واتباع عوراتهم فهو غنم للمؤمن يغتنمه الفاجر
