The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Let me not find any of you reclining on his couch when a hadith of mine reaches him, saying, 'Recite to me a passage of the Quran instead.' Whatever good comes to you from me, whether I actually said it or not, I do say it. But whatever evil reaches you from me, I do not speak evil."
حدثنا خلف قال حدثنا أبو معشر عن سعيد
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا أعرفن أحدا منكم أتاه عني حديث وهو متكئ في أريكته فيقول اتلوا علي به قرآنا ما جاءكم عني من خير قلته أو لم أقله فأنا أقوله وما أتاكم عني من شر فأنا لا أقول الشر
