We were with the Prophet ﷺ on a Hajj or an Umra when a swarm of locusts came toward us. We began striking them with our sticks and whips. Then it dawned on us what we had done, and we said, "What have we done, while we are in a state of ihram?" So we asked the Prophet ﷺ about it, and he said, "There is no harm in hunting the game of the sea."
حدثنا مؤمل بن إسماعيل قال حدثنا حماد يعني ابن سلمة قال حدثنا أبو المهزم قال سمعت
كنا مع النبي ﷺ في حج أو عمرة فاستقبلنا رجل من جراد فجعلنا نضربهن بعصينا وسياطنا فسقط في أيدينا وقلنا ما صنعنا ونحن محرمون فسألنا النبي ﷺ عن ذلك فقال لا بأس بصيد البحر
