The Prophet ﷺ said, "There was a man who never did any good deed at all. He used to lend money to people, and he would tell his agent, 'Take whatever is easy to collect, leave whatever is difficult, and overlook their debts. Perhaps Allah will overlook our sins.'When he died, Allah asked him, 'Did you ever do any good?'He replied, 'No, except that I had a servant, and I used to lend money to people. Whenever I sent him to collect, I would tell him, "Take whatever is easy, leave whatever is difficult, and overlook their debts. Perhaps Allah
will overlook our sins."'Allah
said, 'I have overlooked your sins.'"
