The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has angels who roam about beyond their assigned duties, seeking out gatherings of remembrance. When they come upon such a gathering, they sit with those present. When the gathering ends, the angels rise upward, ascending one above the other until they reach the Throne. Then Allah
asks them, though He knows best, 'Where have you come from?'They reply, 'We have come from servants of Yours who were asking You for Paradise, seeking refuge in You from the Fire, and begging Your forgiveness.'Allah says, 'They ask Me for My Paradise, have they seen it? How would they be if they had seen it? And they seek refuge from the Fire of Hell, how would they be if they had seen it? I have already forgiven them.'The angels say, 'Our Lord, among them is so-and-so, a sinful servant of Yours who was merely passing by on some errand and sat down with them.'Allah
replies, 'They are such companions that whoever sits with them shall not be wretched.'"
