The Prophet ﷺ said, "Were it not for Hawwa, no woman would ever betray her husband."
حدثنا هارون بن معروف قال حدثنا ابن وهب أخبرني عمرو يعني ابن الحارث أخبرنا أبو يونس سليم بن جبير مولى أبي هريرة حدثه
عن النبي ﷺ قال لولا حواء لم تخن أنثى زوجها الدهر
Its isnad is sahih. The mention in the isnad of "Ibn Wuhayb" is an error, and the correct form is Ibn Wahb, meaning Abdullah bin Wahb Misri, the jurist. Likewise, the mention of "Musa, freedman of Abu Hurairah" is also an error, since there is no narrator by that name. The correct form is that it is Abu Yunus, meaning Abu Yunus Salim bin Jubayr, the freedman of Abu Hurairah, as stated in the books on narrators, and as will come at number 8581. This hadith is an abridged version of number 8019.
