The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah, bless the people of Medina in their city, and bless them in their saa and in their mudd. Allah, Ibrahim is Your servant and Your dear friend, and I am Your servant and Your messenger. Ibrahim asked You to bless the people of Mecca, and I ask You to bless the people of Medina with the like of what Ibrahim asked for the people of Mecca, and the same again with it. Medina is encircled by angels. At every one of its mountain passes stand two angels guarding it. Neither plague nor Dajjal shall enter it. Whoever intends harm against it, Allah will dissolve him as salt dissolves in water."
حدثنا عثمان بن عمر حدثنا أسامة بن زيد حدثنا أبو عبد الله القراظ أنه
قال رسول الله ﷺ اللهم بارك لأهل المدينة في مدينتهم وبارك لهم في صاعهم وبارك لهم في مدهم اللهم إن إبراهيم عبدك وخليلك وإني عبدك ورسولك وإن إبراهيم سألك لأهل مكة وإني أسألك لأهل المدينة كما سألك إبراهيم لأهل مكة ومثله معه إن المدينة مشتبكة بالملائكة على كل نقب منها ملكان يحرسانها لا يدخلها الطاعون ولا الدجال فمن أرادها بسوء أذابه الله كما يذوب الملح في الماء
Its chain is sahih. In Tahdhib, in the biography of Dinar Abu Abdullah Qaraz, Abu Hatim Razi said, He narrated from Saad bin Abu Waqqas, but we do not know whether he heard from him or not. What is here, and what preceded at 1593, is explicit in stating that he heard directly.It has also been narrated with the wording, "O Allah, bless us in our city." Muslim narrated it in the book of Hajj from Yahya bin Yahya and from Qutayba. Tirmidhi narrated it in the book of Supplications from Ishaq bin Musa and from Qutayba. Ibn Majah narrated it in the book of Foods from Muhammad bin Sabbah and Yaqub bin Humayd. And Malik narrated it in Muwatta, in the book of Jami, from Suhayl bin Abu Salih.
