My father was among Ali's guard and was stationed beneath the pulpit. He told me that Ali
ascended the pulpit, praised Allah the Exalted, glorified Him, sent blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ, and said, "The best of this nation after its Prophet is Abu Bakr, and the second is Umar
." He also said, "Allah the Exalted places goodness wherever He wills."

Its isnad is sahih. Mansur bin Abu Muzahim is a client of Azd, his father's name was Bashir, and this Mansur is trustworthy. Muslim and Abu Dawud narrated from him, and Bukhari mentioned him in Al-Kabir 4/2/349 without noting any criticism.Khalid Zayyat, Husayni said he is unknown, but the Hafiz responded to this in At-Tajil 115, saying, rather he is well known, and he is Khalid bin Yazid Zayyat, a Kufan known by the kunya Abu Abdullah. Bukhari mentioned him in his Tarikh in two places, and in one of them he cited his hadith mentioned in the Musnad, then pointed to this hadith. He then quoted from Ahmad and Abu Hatim that they saw no problem with him, and neither Bukhari nor Nasai mentioned him among the daif narrators.Awn bin Abu Juhayfa is trustworthy, and the group of hadith compilers narrated from him. This hadith carries the same meaning as the one before it, though it is mawquf while carrying the meaning of a marfu report.
