The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Straighten the rows in prayer, for straightening the rows is part of the excellence of prayer."
وقال رسول الله ﷺ إنما جعل الإمام ليؤتم به فلا تختلفوا عليه وإذا كبر فكبروا وإذا ركع فاركعوا وإذا قال سمع الله لمن حمده فقولوا اللهم ربنا لك الحمد وإذا سجد فاسجدوا وإذا صلى جالسا فصلوا جلوسا أجمعين
This is also sahih, and it is from the single manuscript, number 43. Bukhari related it [1:145 print/2:174 Fath], through the chain of the manuscript, along with the hadith following this one. Muslim related it [2:20 print/1:122 Bulaq], through its chain as well, but he did not mention the wording referring back to the narration before it. Muslim related it [2:20 print/1:122 Bulaq], both of them through the chain of the copy of Araj, which is the narration that Muslim referred back to. Something similar to this has already passed, 7144, through the narration of Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah.
