The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The angels keep praying for one of you as long as he remains in the place where he prayed, so long as he does not break his ablution. They say, 'Allah, forgive him. Allah, have mercy on him.'"
وقال رسول الله ﷺ الملائكة تصلي على أحدكم ما دام في مصلاه الذي صلى فيه ما لم يحدث اللهم اغفر له اللهم ارحمه
This is a sahih hadith, found in the Individual Manuscript, number 9. Muslim [2:130 s/1, 184 Bulaq] also related it from Muhammad bin Rafi, from Abdul-Razzaq, but he did not cite its wording, instead referring back to the narration before it. Its meaning has already appeared within hadith 7424, through the narration of Abu Salih from Abu Hurairah. We noted there that Bukhari related it through several routes which we identified, though I did not find it in his collection through the route of the Manuscript alone. Its meaning has also appeared, both at length and in abridged form, through several routes, at 7542, 7603, and 7879.
