The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A man will be given allegiance between the Corner and the Maqam. None will violate the sanctity of the House except its own people, and when they violate it, do not ask about the destruction of the Arabs. Then the Abyssinians will come and demolish it with a destruction after which it will never be rebuilt. They are the ones who will extract its treasure."
Its isnad is sahih. It is found in Jami al-Masanid wal-Sunan 7:135, taken from this very passage, and it is a repetition of 7897, which we have already noted there. As for his statement "fa-la tasal an halakat al-Arab" (so do not ask about the destruction of the Arabs), this is how it is established in the three original manuscripts, with "tasal" using the taa of direct address, in the jussive mood governed by the prohibitive "la."In the previous narration, it appears as "yusal," with the yaa, in the passive voice, making it in the indicative mood, with "la" functioning as a simple negative. This is also how it is established in this same passage in Jami al-Masanid wal-Sunan. The matter is close either way, and both readings are permissible and sound in meaning.
