He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The worst of people is the two-faced one, who comes to these with one face and to those with another."
حدثنا هاشم حدثنا ليث حدثني يزيد بن أبي حبيب عن عراك
أنه سمع رسول الله ﷺ يقول إن شر الناس ذو الوجهين يأتي هؤلاء بوجه وهؤلاء بوجه
Its isnad is sahih. Iraak is Ibn Malik Ghifari, whose biography has already appeared at 7293. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 13:150 from Qutayba, and by Muslim 2:288 from Qutayba, and from Muhammad bin Rumh, both of them from Layth, with the same wording. It has already appeared with similar wording at 7337, through another route from Abu Hurairah, and we pointed there to some of its other narrations. See also 7877.
