The Prophet ﷺ said, as reported through several chains from Hasan and Ibn Sirin from the Prophet ﷺ, "There was a man among those who came before you who never did any good deed except affirming the oneness of Allah. When death approached him, he said to his family, 'When I die, see that you burn my body until it becomes charcoal, then grind it up, then scatter it on a windy day.'When he died, they did exactly that. But there he was, in the grasp of Allah.Allah said to him, 'Son of Adam, what made you do what you did?'He replied, 'My Lord, it was out of fear of You.'So Allah forgave him for that, even though he had never done any good deed except affirming the oneness of Allah."
