The Prophet ﷺ said, "There was a tree that used to harm people on the road. A man cut it down and removed it from the path, and for that he was admitted into Paradise."
حدثنا أبو كامل حدثنا حماد عن ثابت عن أبي رافع
عن النبي ﷺ قال كانت شجرة تؤذي أهل الطريق فقطعها رجل فنحاها عن الطريق فأدخل بها الجنة
Its isnad is sahih. It is found in Jami al-Masanid 7:421, taken from this very place. Its meaning has already appeared as a mawquf wording, from another route, 7828, and we referred to this there. Its meaning has also already appeared as marfu, within hadith 7834.
