Ali bin Abu Talib reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he began the prayer, would say the takbir and then say, "I have turned my face toward the One who created the heavens and the earth, upright in faith, and I am not among those who associate others with Him. My prayer, my acts of worship, my life, and my death belong to Allah, Lord of the worlds. He has no partner. With this I have been commanded, and I am the first of those who submit. Allah, You are the Sovereign, there is no god but You. You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I have wronged myself and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me all my sins, for none forgives sins but You. Guide me to the best of character, for none guides to the best of it but You. Turn away from me its worst, for none turns its worst away from me but You. Here I am at Your service, seeking Your pleasure. All good is in Your hands, and evil is not attributed to You. I belong to You and turn to You. Blessed and exalted are You. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You."When he bowed, he said, "Allah, to You I have bowed, in You I have believed, and to You I have submitted. My hearing, my sight, my brain, my bones, and my nerves are humbled before You."When he raised his head, he said, "Allah has heard the one who praises Him. Our Lord, to You belongs all praise, filling the heavens and the earth and what lies between them, and filling whatever else You wish thereafter."When he prostrated, he said, "Allah, to You I have prostrated, in You I have believed, and to You I have submitted. My face has prostrated to the One who created it and fashioned it, giving it the best of forms, and who opened for it hearing and sight. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators."When he finished the prayer and gave the greeting of peace, he said, "Allah, forgive me what I have done before and what I have left undone, what I have concealed and what I have made known, what I have done to excess, and what You know better than I. You are the One who brings forward and the One who puts back. There is no god but You."Abdullah told us, saying that it reached them from Ishaq bin Rahawayh, from Nadr bin Shumayl, that he said concerning the words in this hadith, "and evil is not attributed to You," that they mean one does not draw near to You through evil.
