The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The poor among the believers will enter Paradise five hundred years before the wealthy."
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا محمد بن عمرو عن أبي سلمة
قال رسول الله ﷺ يدخل فقراء المؤمنين الجنة قبل أغنيائهم بخمس مائة عام
Its isnad is sahih. It will come again with this same isnad at 9822, and it comes through other routes from Abu Hurairah at 8502, 10663, 10741. Tirmidhi (3:271) narrated it through the route of Sufyan, that is, Thawri, from Muhammad bin Amr, in a similar wording, and he said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith." Ibn Majah narrated it at 4122 through the route of Muhammad bin Bishr from Muhammad bin Amr. Munziri mentioned it in Targhib wal-Tarhib (4:88) and said, "Tirmidhi narrated it, as did Ibn Hibban in his Sahih." Then he said, "Its narrators are relied upon in the Sahih."
