The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not call a vineyard 'karm,' for the true karm is the believing man."
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا محمد يعني ابن إسحاق عن صالح بن إبراهيم عن عبد الرحمن الأعرج
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تقولوا لحائط العنب الكرم فإنما الكرم الرجل المؤمن
Its isnad is sahih. Salih bin Ibrahim bin Abdul-Rahman bin Awf is a taabi, whose reliability was established earlier at 1673, and we add here that Bukhari gave his biography in al-Kabir 2/2/273, and Ibn Abu Hatim in 2/1/393. The hadith will come again with this same isnad at 10620, and its meaning has already appeared at 7256, and it has also appeared at length at 7509 and 7668.
