Tariq bin Shihab reported,

I witnessed Ali saying from the pulpit, "By Allah, we have no book that we recite to you except the Book of Allah Most High, and this scroll." It was attached to his sword. "I took it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. It contains the obligations of charity." It was attached to a sword whose ornament was iron, or he said, whose rings were iron, meaning its loops.

عن طارق بن شهاب قال

شهدت عليا رضي الله عنه وهو يقول على المنبر والله ما عندنا كتاب نقرؤه عليكم إلا كتاب الله تعالى وهذه الصحيفة معلقة بسيفه أخذتها من رسول الله ﷺ فيها فرائض الصدقة معلقة بسيف له حليته حديد أو قال بكراته حديد أي حلقه
